It is Cinco de Mayo Weekend and that means one thing. And more to the point, there’ll be good boxing.
Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez (51-1-2, 35 KOs) and Daniel”Miracle Man” Jacobs (35-2, 29 KOs) will put their middleweight titles online in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Alvarez opened as a 300 favorite but has since moved to -550 with Jacobs. This battle is projected to go the distance as the Over/Under is set at 10.5 rounds together with the over juiced to -350.

Here are our staff bets for Saturday night’s mega-fight:

Rob Perez: Under 10.5 Rounds (+275)
I really like Jacobs, he’s my god and such a great story. That may break the armor of this iron chin of Canelo Alvarez. Nonetheless, it’s no secret that which occurs to Jacobs when he starts to tire, his form flatlines and ascends into boxing paradise and we’re left with a completely open horse position bar brawler.

Jacobs will go for the kill and when he does not get it he’s definitely going to be in trouble late from a fighter who desires nothing more than to drag him to the deep end (a la Floyd Mayweather) with endurance and defense.

Someone is getting knocked out of this fight, I am not entirely sure that, but neither fighter is”only looking to survive the bell and get paid.” Looking at you, Amir Khan.
